Customer accounts are not required to message your team in Relay. It’s as simple as texting your assigned Relay phone number, or sending you a Messenger chat — exactly the same way they text friends and family.
However, sending payments to your business via SMS or Facebook Messenger using Relay requires a customer account.
Two Ways to Create a Relay Customer Account
- Customers can signup directly by visiting this link, and selecting “Customer Account” under tje account type drop-down.
- Relay referral URL: On your messaging dashboard, click on the message options button next to the chat input box (button with the plus sign). You can access your Relay URL from the message options menu.
Clicking on the Relay URL button includes the signup link in a message to your customer or contact. When someone signs up using your Relay URL, they’re automatically added to your dashboard as a customer. This means you can charge them directly from your dashboard, or setup recurring subscriptions.
