Sometimes, waiting for a customer to text a payment might not be ideal for your billing workflow; so we’ve made it extremely easy for you to pre-authorize a transaction, or charge customers directly from your dashboard without having to wait for a text message. Here’s how:
- First, navigate to the transactions dashboard
- Click the “Charge customer” button located at the top of the page
- Enter the transaction details; customer name, item name, amount and description, then click the “Charge customer” button in the pop-up to complete transaction. You also have the option to pre-authorize the transaction if applicable to your business.
Please note that you can only charge customers with existing Relay profiles. When a charge is created, Relay automatically sends out a text message to the customer confirming the purchase, as well as an email receipt for their records.
